Yes. Taxes suck. But so does not having enough money to have a military.

Now, don't think I'm all pro-war-in-Iraq/Afghanistan...

I'm just saying it's nice to be the proud owners of the F-22 Raptor.

M-60's and aircraft carriers are pretty cool, too.

Tax returns suck because they are deliberately confusing and a pain in the ass to fill out. And you have to rely on your employer not being retarded and forgetting to update your mailing address. Or, if you want to submit them online, like any person with half a brain is likely to do because it reduces the hassle of losing paperwork, you have to pay a fee...ew.

or you might find out that you have to pay because you had more tax liability than you paid...that really sucks...I haven't had it happen to me, but still.

then there is just the general hassle of doing anything related to money.

Haven't done mine yet. W2's from three jobs and having to fiddle around with rent income and interest paid on my house is gonna be about as fun as attacking my own cock with a staple gun.

My mommy does my taxes for me.

They're done, but I haven't paid them yet. I forgot to have extra money taken out of my paycheck last year, so 3 months of collecting unemployment screwed me hard, tax-wise.

Not only have I not filed for this year yet, but I got a nice letter from the tax-man this week gving me 30 days to file last years taxes. I don't know why my government is so anxious to pay me back the money they owe me.

thats one way to look at it ... or you can also think of it as .. every check they are taking too much of your money ... if you need more money when you get your check instead of a big refund @ the end of the year .. claim 1 more ..

Everyone thinks it great to get a big refund ... its better to owe a small amount @ the end of the year ..that means you got all of your money when possible durning the year.....

my boss takes out state deductions, but doesnt pay in. we get a check of the amount that had been taken out over the course of the year, and are responsible for paying it ourself. and then the state fines us for late payments.

now THATS a pain in the ass

I still haven't done my taxes. For me it's tradition to wait until the 15th.

It would be like opening Christmas presents in late October if I did them any sooner.
