11 mph?! That's huge. Ours is only like 6 mph and that's only because speedometers and radar detectors are always 100% on the dot.

I know if you fight a ticket handed to you the officer has to show up. If they don't show up it's automatically dimissed and usually about 65% won't show up. In the case of a photo ticket... I don't know. I'd probably pay it and count my losses or contact the courts and see if you can't get them to allow you to take one of those "driving safety" course things so that your fine is either knocked down, knocked out or at least so you don't get the points on your license.

Do NOT plead "Not Guilty"! Whatever you do, in this case, do NOT do that. You will lose AND have to pay court costs for the initial appearance and the reappearance in court at a later date.

Let the judge know you know about the state allowable buffer and plead for mercy.

I never said to plead not guilty. I did in fact say to admit guilt and see if they will knock the penalties down.

I know. You did mention that if someone fights it(that means pleading Not Guilty at the preliminary) the officer is required to show up...I just wanted to clarify that wouldn't be a good idea.

Typically yes but I wasn't mentioning going to court to fight it. I mentioned it more as a scenario for police actually pulling person over and those who will show up to court.. just another to add to the statistics but it didn't really apply.

In any case, yes. The courts and cops like the least amount of confrontation as possible. It keeps them in a good mood and willing to work with people.

I haven't read the thread so perhaps someone posted this suggestion before me but nonetheless you should try coating your rear liscence plate with clear nail-polish. If you apply it evenly it's unnoticable to the police and when the radar camera snaps your pic, it simply gets glare. Enjoy. ARRR!!!

This had me wandering around the world of grammatical and spelling errors for so long that I got lost and decided to never come back to whatever I had originally intended to post.

My dad got one of those one day while he was driving my moms car, which at the time she had a personalized tag that said "MYPEEPS" One of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.
