mates of state is one of my top 3 favorite live. i've seen them twice. and i've been listening to bring it back ohhh about 10 times a day.

another cool interview... you're on a roll, dre.

i once read an interview with frank black (well, black francis back then, i think), where he said he felt like he a little "beatles melody machine" in his head, which was why he could crank out a bazillion ridiciulously, brainwormily catchy tunes.

mos are like that... when you hear their songs you go, "fuck, i know i've heard this somewhere..." but it's not that they're copping, they just have that pop sensibility that can't be faked.

I totally agree with this statement, I've only seen them once, and I was blown away, I think it was my top show, right next to The Shins.
