Yes, and Hitchcock never won an Oscar either, it doesn't mean much!

The number of times I've seen them could be considered revealed preference, so here goes:

1. The King of Comedy (although the reason I've seen the the most may just be because it's generally underrated and way underseen -- so I keep showing it to people)
2. GoodFellas
3. The Last Waltz
4. Taxi Driver
5. New York, New York

Nor has Altman; nor did Kubrick.

In any event:

1. Raging Bull
2. Goodfellas
3. Taxi Driver
4. Mean Streets
5. The Big Shave (the poll wasn't expressly limited to features tongue)

If you're stealing jokes, get the name of the band right.

Absolutely De Niro is miscast. The book and the character are basically a nebishy jew with alot of power behind him. orignally kevin pollak was suppsoed to do the role whcih would have been perfect. but when de niro made time for it he got it. it was so bad seeing him trying to act weak in that fashion. such a joke. he looked so uncomfortable in those awful 70's clothes it was hilarious

the cinematogrpahy is amateurish

I beleive this is because michael chapman couldnt do the film so scorsese used robert richardson for the first time. It seemed like RR was trying to "do" scorsese style instead of letting the film dictate the style. Also for the casino shots they had to load late at night and load out every morning, so they couldnt create consistency

pesci's hair and performance are hideous.

Probably. NO DEFINITELY

Sharon Stone is boring.

She was so boring, and bad, shes barely been good in anything

You mean like, they are so good? or like "there are only five good scorsese movies at all"

If it were boring, horribly acted, or badly shot, I probably wouldn't have bothered to watch it seven times.
