You don't have to be a fucktard at the wheel to be killed or mangled in an auto accident and just because you get implants it doesn't mean they will rupture.

Good point.

But either because of rupture (probably due to capsular contracture) or other complications, the implants will have to be removed at some point. Like you said yourself, they're not permanent - and that is a fact. Some breast implants may rupture/deflate in the first few months after surgery and some after several years.
It's a fact they have to get removed at some point and end up looking like this:

(until they get filled up with more crap).

On the other hand, it's not a fact that when you go out in a car you're going to get mangled in a wreck.
At least you can control your driving up unto a point even if you can't control someone else's - however, you can't control how your body reacts to stuff that's NOT meant to be in there.

edited to put the pic under a spoiler tag.

You can choose to have them made with silicone or with salty water... the silicone one it more expensive. And for the questions about if they break,, the one made of salty water will be evacuated through your urine. The one made of sillicone, will break but they will stay there, the doctor will need to remove them. There is no danger if they break , other wise, he won't do it.

That sounds so incredibly gross.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but what would happen if a woman with implants took a pin and pushed it into her breast. Would the implant burst, or is it not a balloon-type scenario?

I'm not trying to be gross or rude, I've just always wondered that....

Implants are very tough and the membrane is thick so you'd have to have a really sharp, long, and hard needle/pin in order to be able to rupture it. It would then leak slowly into her body until it was deflated (if it was saline) and if it was a cohesive gel implant it would be like sticking it into a gummy bear and nothing would happen.

Either way I wouldn't recommend it.

As a guy, I would say that breast implants are completey unneccesary, from my point of view. I really could care less whether a girl has giant breasts, or hardly any at all, it really makes no difference. I'm actually quite dissapointed that this kind of surgery is so common these days (I work with 4 girls who have had them), and it usually says a lot about the girl when she decides to go through with it. I would say save your money, but if you think it will improve your self-confidence, it's up to you.

Cosmetic surgery doesn't mean you're wain. Lots of women are genuinley really unhappy with the way they look, and so are a lot of men. I'm having my nose corrected in 3 months because it's been broken a lot of times and never set properly, and it makes me unhappy with how I look. I'd do just the same if I thought I had a really ugly nose. No-one I know would call me vain in the slightest.

I don't really think that your analogy works here. You were repairing something that was broken, unless you want to say that a girl that is born with smaller breasts is somehow abnormal or injured, then I would say that it's different.

Well said.

Girls - A lack of self confidence is common in small breasted girls - heck, I know only too well. But if you think bigger breasts are suddenly going to erase all your self-doubt, you're going to be sadly mistaken.
Might as well spend that money on therapy.

Definately look at yourself inside before you mess with the outside. I hated myself forever because of my small breasts but when I worked out some self esteem stuff I decided surgery wasn't for me. Knowing yourself will help you decide whether or not the breast job is good or bad.

Very well said, the boob job should be about making you look better to yourself, any other reason needs to be reexamined.

Given the aforementioned risks and concerns, why just "a little larger". For the ordeal you'll go through, why not "medium to big" larger?

Some possible answers:

The larger you go, the less natural they look.

The larger you go, the more rude comments you get from assholes.

The larger you go, the more guys you get leering at you every day.

ALSO: Petite frames don't need big implants. A 5'0" girl with a C-cup looks like she has huge breasts. A 6'2" girl with a C-cup looks like she has medium-sized breasts.

I got the surgery like three months ago and nothing bad happened. I got informed before doing it, I got informed about the operation and the doctor. You don't expose yourself necessarily to breast cancer. You still can have babies after and breast feed them. it's not gonna change anything, you're just gonna look happier. The only thing is... make sure your doctor is good, ask for pictures of his work and don't be shy to ask him questions.
You can choose to have them made with silicone or with salty water... the silicone one it more expensive. And for the questions about if they break,, the one made of salty water will be evacuated through your urine. thank you, these were more along the lines of the replies i was looking for. do you mind if i ask how you like yours? and what kind you went with? what kind you personally think is the best?

it's not a question about my self confidence at all. it honestly has to do with the fact that they are uneven, and bras can't fit me right when one side is a b and the other an a.
