i was a freshman the year that happened. what a tragedy! it was so weird being this tiny catholic college with a kick-ass basketball team one day, and a national news phenomenon the next. i remember living in the dorms and every single room on campus was playing our next few games on TV. the buildings would just roar. i'm not a sports fan, but i've never experienced anything like it.
and i still have my jersey signed by all the other players that year.
