Ah, the joys of parenthoodthat surge of unconditional love at the birth of a child; the delight in watching them take their first steps and speak their first words; and the thrill when your little one beats the crap out of another kid? In the grand American tradition of bumper stickers that read: My Kid Beat Up Your Honor Student, a Texas couple have been arrested for what was found on one of their home videos. No, it wasn't anything lewd or sexually perverted, but it was definitely sick and twisted. Welcome to Killeen, Texas, where Dennis Michael Bittinger, a 22-year old Fort Hood soldier, was arrested for instructing his 3-year-old daughter to fight a 5-year-old boy while he videotaped it like a sport.

The fight allegedly occurred Saturday while the couple babysat for the 5-year-old son of a friend, police said. When the boy's mother arrived to pick him up, she turned on the couple's video camera, which had previously been used to tape the children playing.

Police said the tape shows the soldier commanding his daughter to knock the victim down, kick him and hit him in the face. The girl follows her father's instructions as the boy cries and pleads for her to stop, police said.

The tape also shows the man declaring his daughter the "winner," and he shoves the boy and demands to know why he didn't defend himself, police said.

The incident left the boy with bruises.

Bond has been set at $100,000 each for the husband and wife, who were being held in the Bell County Jail Thursday night. It wasn't immediately clear if they had a lawyer.

Nothing like a little mindless act of violence to pass the hours. My prediction: Texas will try the 3-year old as an adult.

Oh c'mon, Texas hasn't executed any children or retards in years! Ok, one year.

But that's thanks to the stupid Supreme Court, who made the Texas governor commute the death sentences of 28 minors to life sentences. Like he doesn't have other shit he could be doing.

Granted I'm not too sure what the little girl is going to do now, but that father, NOT a good role model... "yes virgiinia, it's ok to beat people up for no reason"
