People will do anything for a cameraeven congregate in public groups of over 1500, get buck naked on a city street and pose for two hours. At least, that's what happened in Caracas, Venezuela, this morning, when American photographer Spencer Tunick called for volunteers to participate in yet another of his live, nude installations.
Tunick has been directing naked photo shoots since 1992, documenting nudes on all seven continents. His photographs are spectacular, and all over the world, hordes of volunteers show up thrilled to take part in his installations.
One Venezuelan had this to say:
"There were good vibrations, a good positive energy among all the people involved. I felt liberated."
According to Tunick's website:
The bodies extend into and upon the landscape like a substance. These grouped masses which do not underscore sexuality become abstractions that challenge or reconfigure one's views of nudity and privacy.
Film documentaries of Tunick's national and international tours are available on Amazon. Naked States chronicles Tunick's U.S. tour, and Naked World follows Tunick's one-year trek to all seven continents as he shoots individual and group nudes against various man-made and natural backdrops.

Considering the fact that lots Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Whatever are Venezuelian, the crowd must have been pretty nice to look at... ... as a bonus to another amazing picture.
