V is not Watchmen ; it does not have the complexity of that book in which changes would all together ruin the story.

I have to disagree with this statement because not only is V better than Watchman but it is far more complex.

The idea that V (the comic) is more complex than Watchmen is... ah, a little odd. How so?

Scroll up.

I did. I can't see his argument. Yours makes perfect sense.

Yeah, I don't really see it either, but it's hard to find grounds to argue with it, and I have zero chance of changing anyone's mind. So I stopped while I was ahead.

I saw the Film last night...I disagree with this guy it was a great film. Why do people go into films as if they are a baby coming out of a womb and this movie is supposed to give them all the concepts they need for life. Its a movie, that has ideas that you can draw and expand on, basically it asks the questions you give the answers. Of course I never really saw the point of reviewing something artistic to within an inch of its life, everyone should take away there own personal feelings from this movie instead of worrying about what everyone else thinks.

The character of the Inspector shows that the best in this movie. He is a character driven by Feelings and inklings (spelling), and I think he's the best character in this film.

Go watch it and enjoy, and try not to let the pseudo-intellectuals spoil it for you.

I had no major quibbles with the film. I think they could have built up the seriousness of V's threat to the government a bit more. I seem to recall that he blew up a bunch of buildings in the comic, maybe they should have shown a bit more of that before they showed him making breakfast for Natalie. But that's nitpicking.

Generally, I think it captured the feeling and the spirit of the comic. That's really all you can expect from most modern movie adaptations -- not everybody can go the Sin City route. In a way it is too bad that Moore is so anit-film, because I'd love to see the kind of film he would make if given a chance. (The script would be 5,000 pages long...)

Anyway, I couldn't help enjoying the sight of Parliment exploding. They blowed it up REAL good.

The movie DID NOT suck.

it was very to the point: Power Corrupts. Absoulte Power corrupts Absoultly. If this happens, the common man must step up and do an uncommon act. overthrow said power.

I have read the graphic novel, and it veers from the source at times (including the amp-ed up ending), but it walkd out of the theater amazed. I could not believe what i had just seen. an anarchy film, mainstream, wide released, and waiting for the public to discover.

its also the first film that i have ever seen shut the audience up after the first five mins or so. a room full of 17 year olds and their girlfriends were silenced by the movie, which made it so much more enjoyable.
