By George, I think he's got it! Not for long, though. That's rightsocially conscious Clooney is giving it away. Now, nowdon't get your bowels in an uproar, as my elegant grandmother used to say. Clooney's handing out favors, alrightparty favors. Apparently the mindful man about town doesn't fancy vintage silk kimonos or Tahitian-pearl necklaces; those are just two of the pricey prizes from his Oscar gift bag that have been donated to the United Way and will be auctioned off to raise funds for their Hurricane Response and Relief Recovery Fund. The entire gift bag will go to a solitary bidder, and the auction begins March 21 on the United Way website.
That's pretty decent. I used to imagine silk worms kindly spinning out silk for us to use and then going home to their families after their 9-5 shift (ok, I didn't actually imagine the family part). Then I learned that they are actually boiled to make silk. That seems a lot less conducive to living.
Seriously...there are very few celebrities in the world that I would care to meet...George Clooney is one of them, if I ever saw him in a bar....I'd walk up to him, shake his hand, buy him a beer, and say "good job, dude...keep on just bein' you!"
The Only other people on that list, are the ones on my Profile page
fuck yeah. and i feel lame bragging but i partied with george clooney once. i ran into him in a westin bar and basically did what tuxotaku said he'd do. he was totally cool about it as expected. go george, anyone who doesn't give their oscar gift bag to charity can go suck an ass.
