I thought it was better than the comic book actually , they kept the good parts and changed the confusing parts which wouldnt have fit the movie.

Besides I dont think the majority of the moviegoers ever read the V comic or knows it exists.

Fucking. AMAZING. Really makes you think.

I think it's awesome that the book was written almost twenty years ago yet feels so relevant to our time.

I fell in love with V. I loved the alliteration, I loved his house, I loved the way he carried himself, and I loved the way he spoke. love

I'm going to see this as often as possible.

Also, I MUST own the soundtrack. They played a great song during the end credits that sounded like a mix of Ministry and Bjork - it kept going back and forth.

Since the book was a tip of the hat to 1984, I think it's wonderfully ironic that John Hurt plays Big Brother this time. wink

I really really saw it. And it really really rocked.

I agree- very relevant for our times. Makes you think.

And hell, there's just lots of parts that are just plain fun and cool to watch. And Natalie Portman is hot with or without hair.

Great. Fucking. Movie.

Thought it was pretty terrible from start to finish. Honoring the Star Wars/Matrix traditional of incompetent and lazy bullshit spectacle.

While Hugo Weaving's voice is stellar and the mask and costume compelling - I felt that the story was a bit too literal.

A more literal story inside the pages of a comic, using familiar imagery ("A Triumph of the Will",etc...) or stereotypes to show us that someone is a "bad" person works in a short ammount of time. But it makes it too simple in this movie and where that simplicity could have been made up for in ingenious twists, instead was paved by a fairly straight road.

Though any use of Benny Hill style humor tactics score points with me ... so I liked the movie.
