Re-translations

Inspired by this post about Google translations, here's the deal. Write a phrase in English, then translate it into a language of your choice.

Then take the result and translate it back into English.

Example.

1. There is no way I am going to be able to understand this when I re-translate it.

English to German then back again yields

2. There is no way, which becomes I in the situation its, to understand this if I back-translate it.

However, doing Enlish-Spanish-English gets

3. There is no way that I am going to be able to understand this when re-I translate it.

Impressive!

Is it efficient, or does it kill with the skill of a cluster bomb?
