But, if you just want a quick fix, Fredericks of Hollywood usually has some nice stuff. They have at least one location in LA, and an online shop.
I'm sure satanspetcat has long since bought the corset for his girl and has long since broken up with her and is currently paying alimony and child support to her, however HopelessStar speaks wisdom.

As does this lady (plus I'd trust anything Al said regarding corsets). There's even auctions on ebay for people who will make you a custom built corset to the dimensions you want, with the cinch you want, color, everything custom made for less than $200 including materials (although I imagine if you request it be made of like top quality silk and fine itallian leather they might charge you a lil extra.
