The short version, I'm looking for a corset for a pretty girl. She's real small, about 5' 3" or 5' 4".
Anyway, where the hell can I find a sexy corset? So many sets on SG have the hottest clothing EVER, yet I'm an ignorant fool and have no idea where I can find some of this stuff. Online stores or anything in the LA area would be nice.
The best corsets are made specific to a girl's measurements, so, your best bet is not to surprise her with it, but to tell her that you would like to buy her one and get her something really nice.
At least, that would be my advice.
But, if you just want a quick fix, Fredericks of Hollywood usually has some nice stuff. They have at least one location in LA, and an online shop.

My friend Google could probably help you.
but than he would have to do the work.
Nobody said you were my only hope, pretentious asshats, get over yourselves.
I'll check out the shops recommended.
In regard to having one made, I actually have her measurements (I've had to help her buy a dress before) in regard to bust/waist/hip, is that sufficient?
And holy crap, thanks for the group listing, that's so helpful.

Look, I'm a superficial douchebag, and a snarky fuckwad, but a pretentious asshat, I am not. I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER get over New York Matt. So cross that off your "to do list" because I crossed it off mine.

That's kind of something you have to deal with around here. Getting mad will only make it worse, I promise. Ignoring it will most likely make it better.
What are her measurements? Off-the-rack corsets can be quite flattering on most people provided that they're not too curvy already. An off-the-rack corset is bought usually 3"-6" smaller than measured waist size, depending on the size of the waist.

Isn't there a difference in the off-the-rack corsets designed to be worn smaller than normal size and off-the-rack corsets designed to be worn at your natural size?
The "fashion" corsets aren't sturdy enough for the cinching, right?
For example, Dark Angel recommends you buy their corsets in your actual size.

Corsets are sized differently according to manufacturer and retailer, but most places I've seen otr corsets tell you to buy them by the size of the corset, not the size of yourself. The place you buy from will tell you. There's also a difference between cinching your waist for the evening and waist training, and there are plenty of custom corset makers who will make you a corset built for waist training that will look fucking awesome on the outside of your clothing. To me, there's no point in buying a steel-boned corset that isn't going to make your waist any smaller than it is already. If it doesn't pull your waist in at least a little, it's not a real corset, it's just a bodice.
These companies all offer REAL corsets, not the cheapass ones that are going to fall apart after you try to really cinch them. They may cost a little(or a lot, depending on what you choose) more, but they are worth it.
