Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox???

Okay everyone I want your opinions on which web browser you use. Basically, I've always liked Internet Explorer but about once every six months or so it just goes to shit. Something random will happen that won't allow it to open new windows or like what happened tonight which is everytime I open IE by my shortcut, it just closes itself for no apparent reason.

I've had Firefox on my computer for a while now and my biggest problem is just getting used to how it looks, but it's honestly much faster and doesn't seem to run into nearly as many problems.

So which do you prefer or is there an alternative that I don't even know about because IE is simply pissing me off tonight!

Firefox all the way. I've never had problems with it and I like the tabs (though other browsers have them now).

There is a beta for a new version of IE, though. Maybe you ought to try that?

I'm a Firefox fan myself.

I like the tabs. It seems to beat back pop-ups more effectively than anything I've ever added to IE.

I think when I moved to Firefox there was an initial adjustment period, but it was very brief.

Yeah, I started using Firefox and havent looked back since.

I use Apple's Safari, but if the choice is between IE and Firefox, then that's no choice at all.

There are themes I'm sure that will make Firefox look like IE if the interface is the only thing bugging you.

Plain Mozilla ... Nothing against Firefox though.

The real question is firefox or opera. I use opera 90% of the time.

firefox, just takes some work to get video plugins to work initially sometimes, and it is fun checking out all the different plugins availible.

Wow...so I guess I'm not the only one who has had bad experiences dealing with IE huh? That pretty much seals the deal though....I'm gonna stick with Firefox and let IE die a slow and painful death!

It's not so much that I don't like the look it's just that I've been using IE for SO LONG that it's just a matter of getting used to something different ya know?

Old habits die hard. But this time I think I'm sticking with Firefox....IE just has too many bugs and program flaws and I'm tired of dealing with it.

I use safari mainly and firefox when safari's being wonky.

i will echo the opinions already stated above that IE is garbage. ditch it. firefox will grow on you.

I use Opera and love it. I would say use anything BUT Internet Explorer... go Firefox if that's what you have.

Try Netscape 8. It has both the Firefox and IE engines in it; which means you can use Firefox for most pages and IE when necessary all in the same browser.

I use it for work because I don't need to open different browsers to test my code.
