hahah I've been making that comparison for years and I can do an awesome gutteral "cookie monster" voice, I've even tried to convince my band mates to let me do a death metal song in a cookie monster outfit ..but I think the idea scares people just a bit. I even came up with a couple of good song titles such as: Kill You for Cookie and Cookie for Sodomy ...ah well maybe one day.

that's friggin awesome! you should do it! fuck what they say! skull

Now this conversation right here is a wonderful example of internet fueled creative process in action.

Now we just need a producer to get Nixon together with thunderboltz and that cool fucking guitar and we are on our way to MTV.

Ha ha! I saw that! I showed this article to a friend in Oakland and he sent me that link. That guy suited up as Cookie Monster looks fucking deformed.
The again... what makes a monster deformed? Hmmm... I wonder.

I don't know if I'd compare Mr. Cookie Monster's voice to that of Carcass. His tone is far deeper. Death, perhaps? The band that really sticks out in my mind when comparing Cookie Monster to death metal vocals is Cannibal Corpse. I don't know about you, but Butchered at Birth sends me into a chocolate chip frenzy.
