I certainly didn't mean to suggest that you might be a journalist, or that you might not; I'd entirely lost track of who the OP was.
Opinions about American postal workers I can't give. Opinions about American public lexicon, I can; partly becaue I'm not American. I don't think your approach was wrong, as such; but I wanted to raise it as an issue, maybe get some opinions , see if my take rang any bells.
