Has there been a movie you just definatley had to see? One that you would take a 30 min metro ride and bus ride for? Buy tickets early for?

Please someone tell me I'm not the only one this crazy.

I'm sure there are lots of movie-crazy people out there. Lord of the Rings, perhaps? wink

Well, I've never purchased advanced tickets or camped out of anything. But I imagine it's possible.

Ah, those were good. This is for Good Night and Good Luck. It's in a theatre around 6-10 miles from me and I don't have a car. It wasn't anywhere near me when I was in SC, but is still here in ATL.

Anne. Hathaway.

Go.

If, you know, that's what you're talking about.

Julian Schnabel's biopic of Jean Michel Basquiat, "Basquiat".

It took two and a half hours to get there. I rode the CCT bus from Marietta to Atlanta and picked up MARTA.

After 8 or 9 post-movie beers at the pizza place next to the theatre, I rode back.
I barely made the last bus home.

It was well worth it.

Yes. I'd travel pretty far to see "The Best of Youth." Fortunately, in this neck o' the woods, long movie trips are seldom necessary.

I travelled the opening weekend to see "Fahrenheit 9/11" because I was in Cincinnati at the time and it's the most conservative city in Ohio...then a few theatres opened it the next week. But I didn't mind travelling to see it.

And Anne Hathaway in "Havoc".... love love love love love

well i've never had to use public transportation to see a movie but there's plenty of movies i would do that to see. the art theatre i usually go to is 30 minutes away (45 if the traffic is heavy) and i go there all the time. if i do go though i usually try and see two movies to really make it worth my trip.
