It's racist. They are choosing these foods so that they can easily avoid helping Muslims and Jews. There's been a disturbing far-right movement in France for years. Do some googling on Jean-Marie Le Pen.
Hint: Any time a group calls itself the "National Front," it's a safe bet that fascism, neo-fascism or proto-fascism is what they're about.
Here in the U.S., a similar group renamed itself National Vanguard after some internal squabbles. They fund anti-immigration billboards around the west.
