Underworld: Evolution

Just saw this movie tonight with my friend and still can't get over it. This movie has it all from vampires, to fancy guns, and even some tits. Sadly, you don't get to see Kate's tits but you can find those on Google. There was a sex scene in one of those truck/train storage containers though, it was kinda awkward but hot at the same time. Anyhow, I think the second movie was equal if not better than the original. It's an actual sequel that picks up and explains stuff from the first movie while furthering the plot at the same time. Its not like most sequels these days where all of a sudden the lead characters like 6 inches taller and been taking steroids and his g/f got a boob job or something and they act like nothing has happened. Or like the Matrix where uhm the sequel didn't really explain anything.

Ah, beat me too it. Saw it last night and was about to post a review. I, sadly, must dissagree with you (go figure.)

I'll start with the good:

1. It was cool. Over all this movie oozes coolness and it oozes a lot.
2. Acting not half bad for this type of movie.
3. Special Effects, pretty darn good. Only complaint here. Not enough super fast vampire stuff. Kate does it once or twice (best one is where she seems to fly around a few trees and then rips a gun out of a cop's hand's.)

Bad:
1. I was lost (ever having seen the first) for a good 30 min. Maybe I'm dumb, I just didn't follow it though.
2. Acting was half bad. Not terrible but... a little lacking.
3. Sort of... hate to say it... dull in some parts. You get the feeling of, '...yeah, blah, ok, seen that, and that, aaand that. What? A helicoptor with it's blades still spinning. And someone gets thrown into it? Surely you jest!'

My score? 3 1/2 out of 5.

I saw it last night. It was a good perv ... that's all.

That and an excuse to sit in an air-conditioned room with a large frozen coke.

Don't get me wrong .. I don't expect much when I go to see a movie about vampires and werewolves. I was entertained and that was good enough.

I have to agree with lowroller this was a pretty poor film except for the perv factor! Kate Beckinsale looks fantastic!

The plot is shit, the effects are overdone and there isn't a single surprising moment in the whole thing. Its like I wanna go see that movie to see all the violence and gore and blood but when they have sooo overdone it that in the first 10 mins the violence is boring you, its not a good thing...

Well the first movie's plot was a little shitty, you'd kinda have to expect the sequel would be too. But seldom does an action movie (or low grade porn with guns) actually have a good plot. I could name....maybe seven. It still kicked ass. I guess you just have to be into shitty action/fantasy flicks.

I do like shitty action/fantasy flicks but seriously this could've been so much better. I've never been in a cinema before when as the credits role theres an overwhelming collective sense of dissapointment.

thats because underworld is a triology, Peo-ple!!! The second one always is a dissappiontment but the third one wraps it all up. Like the Matrix.

I must see this. Today. Just because of Kate. I loved the first movie, not just because of her, but because it was the first vampire movie I've seen where science was behind the vampiric "condition," not mysticism.

Yes I must agree that Kate Beckinsale is scrumtrulescent!

I liked it. There were some things I'm sure that I didn't enjoy, but I'm not going to say this or that was 'shit'.

Like Star Wars? And the Godfather? You better hope it's not a trilogy like the Godfather.

I think I liked it. I was so drunk I almost fell asleep during the ending battle. But the way they killed off the bad guys ruled it.

And yeah... Kate. *sigh*
