Early on in his career everyone knew that Steven Soderbergh was an innovative and brilliant filmmaker. But no one had any idea that he would eventually have such an effect on the business side of making films. Soderbergh's tone is all over the place but his attempt to fix up the system I applaud to no end..

I love Soderbergh .. I agree the front-end is very high on movies ... makes it hard for studios to take silly films like "Joe vs. the Volcano" because they may bomb ...

It also increases the desire to play it "safe" with movies like Deuce Bigalow 2 and Big Mommas House 2 ...

I think Traffic, Oceans Eleven, and Sex, lies and Videotape are great movies .. I even liked Solaris ... with its slower pacing ***

I think the simultanious releases are a mistake, and that film of his is getting awful reviews.

Soderbergh's lost it.

its a great film thats getting fabulous reviews from variety and ebert and roeper.

i'm glad everyone will finally get to see an art film the same time as everyone else.

Well, it does have a %65 on RT, but Film Threat really ripped on it.
