Jeremy Kasten and I go way back. If it wasnt for me and my two weeks working on The Attic Expeditions they wouldnt have had 12 cases of water to drink during their shoot. Thats right, water, Gods fruit juice. So Seth Green, Jeffrey Combs and Andras Jones all would have shriveled up and died without my help. The Attic Expeditions received a lot of acclaim for being a very ambitious horror film and it was that film which led Kasten to direct his latest feature, All Souls Day: Dia de los Muertos.
I saw this movie at CNE last year. It was pretty good. Way better than Zombie night *Shudder*
It has some stuff your average zombie nut would love. But it's really more of a supernatural zombie kinda movie. You have to be into the spirits and ghosts side of it.
There's a bit of gun play, but nothing more than classic boomstick VS. zombies.
One of my favorite things about it is that the people have at least some vague idea of what a zombie is when they see one, and expect thw worst from them.
It also doesn't take it's self too freaking seriously. IE:Crazy athletic blond goes matrix on the zombies.
Deffinatly worth a look.
