Bryce Dallas Howard is the gorgeous and talented ingénue born of Hollywood royalty but has taken the art film world by storm with her powerful performance in Lars Von Trier’s Manderlay.

Manderlay is set in 1933 in the deep south of the US. Grace [Bryce Dallas Howard] and her gangster father had left the township of Dogville behind them. By chance their cars stop in the state of Alabama in front of a large hose. Grace finds that this house still practices slavery. She uses her father’s thugs to free the slaves. But...

She's purdy...

Interesting that she mentioned Raimi and the Spider-Man films, since she was reportedly signed to play Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, just the other day. I guess she must have been in talks when she did this interview.

Yes, very purdy indeed.

I'm glad there is a way I can see her on the big screen without hearing Josh Groabn wail the words "The Lady in the Water" (or whatever it is he's singing) over and over in italian. Fucking M Night Shyamalan and his lack of creative casting.

good interview, sounds like she's one of the few actresses who walked away from a von trier film with only good things to say.

I'm confident in predicting that Bryce will become one of the great actresses of our time if she maintains her integrity and acumen in the face of the Hollywood Game. The choice and execution of her roles have so far been uniformly spectacular, and a pairing with Sofia Coppola could rocket her past the fleeting "It girl" status she's sure to lock down with "Spider-Man 3" and into superstardom. And then I've got a script for her. Plus she's cuter than a Chinese baby.

....why is she Gwen Stacy and not Mary Jane?! Gorgeous!

Cast a redhead as a blonde, a blonde as a redhead. *le sigh*
