There arent too many film revolutions anymore. They all happened in the 1970s and Melvin Van Peebles was at the forefront of the one that became blaxploitation and eventually black cinema. There would be no Spike Lee, John Singleton and especially Mario Van Peebles because without Melvin, Mario wouldnt have had a dad.
