Seen it? This girl made through all the humiliations and won a brand new (I think) Ford Mustang. Then, in the next round, she had to answer three questions in twenty seconds or else watch the losing contestants spray it with graffiti, scuff it with a belt sander, and beat the windshield with a sledgehammer. She didn't answer in time.

I did see that. But @least the broken windshield was only the passenger side.

there was one episode where they didn't get to damage anything. i think the contestants were pissed.

if i saw someone with a sledge hammer in front of the mustang i just won, i'd cry, then throw myself on top of it.

its an alright show....but i hate the host. hes not funny and hes just a pretentious prick.

i saw the episode of which you speak and i felt bad for her. she looked sweet. if i were on that show, i dont think id be able to fuck up someone elses car. i only do shit like that to people who piss me off.

wow, we're only a step away from seeing contestants get physically beaten for fucking up.

Edit: to keep the grammar police at bay.

I think this show started in the UK.. at least i used to watch it here a few years ago.
I remember one good episode they had large elastic bands around their heads and they had to let it smack them in the face as the form of a buzzer.
They had rulers on the sides of their heads to make sure they kept it a long distance off too.
Then the next round they had to hold the person next to thems elastic band and let it hit them in the face when they knew an answer.

Superb.

I think the host needs to be even more of a caricature of old timey arrogance. Perhaps he could be outfitted in a top hat, monocle, and penny-farthing bicycle.

In the uk a lot of people actually find Jimmy Carr really funny.... I guess I can take him or leave him.

But I thought the show itself was genious! It's like a car wreck... hard to pull your eyes away from all the carnage!

I think the people who go on that show are some of the most desparately sad people i have ever seen...You remember the one where their 'buzzer' was the toilet, and to 'activate' it, they had to pee? That was so humiliating, but they still did it...
Big Brother audition rejects, I'm guessing....
how long before 'series 7' becomes a reality? Yaeh, ok, that is a bit of an exaggeration...

I wonder if the people actually do get the prizes after the show even if they are destroyed, and they just destroy them because it's entertaining.

Is it more, or does every contestant on that show seem like they want to be an actor? They are the most annoying game show contestants ever.

except for jeopardy, I agree. But it is kind of fun to watch people hurt and humiliate themselves for prizes they might not even get.

Bah. As a long-time fan of Jeopardy, I must say it's become ridiculously easy and, quite frankly, stupid. "Prawnography"? I mean, really.

"This container was described to have held the Ten Commandments obtained by Moses. What is the Ark of the Covenant?" What?? THIS is a Final Jeopardy clue? Sigh. Like I said, it's become ridiculously easy, and not a challenge for the viewers at home, or the contestants. Double sigh.

Oh well. Alex Trebek is still geeky hot. wink

I agree, but it's still better than the few other game shows that are on.
And I've always thought Trebek was the worst part of the show.

Down the tubes?
They've never really had anything more than a few good shows on at a time and a bunch of pretty terrible shit most of the time.

eh, I liked a lot of it for a while. . . but in the past two years it's nothing but A. kiss Jeff Foxworthy's ass, B. Mad TV reruns (I'm the only person in the world who didn't think that show was completely shit. . . .but they've been showing RECENT episodes lately) or C. teen romantic comedies
