Swank. I just bought Cheese Monkey's yesterday and was pleased to read more about him today. Life's funny that way.
Cheese Monkeys made milk come out my nose...in fact I've named my completely imaginary production company after an annecdote in the book.
I will say though that ever since reading it, I've noticed graphic design and been more interested in it. (And strangely have come completely by accident to have purchased several books designed by kidd)
I am so stoked to see an interview with Chip Kidd. Cheese Monkeys was pretty much my exact experience in college. I was Himillsy, my best friend was him, we had satan for graphic design. It's nice sharing the experience with Kidd. Plus I heart his artwork.
I love his work too: Both The Learner and The Cheese Monkeys. That's life as a graphic designer (and somewhat a web designer/programmer) —
I live, breathe, sleep. eat, think, design. design. design. every day of my life....It's who I am:
a graphic designer + web designer + web developer + etc [designer]
