I always feel comfortable talking about things like this on here since... well... your paying for a nudie site already just like me (that makes for less hateful Christians calling me a sinner)

But I wanted to know what all ya'll think about using nudity as a second income

Can it still be considered "artsy" and tasteful if the sole purpose is to make money?

Suicide girls do a set and get paid a small amount but that is like a modeling contract and something that is quite normal. ...But I recently started my own web site (mostly just to see if I could do it) and it started doing really awesome. Not to mention it is totally awesome way practice photography!

...I don’t know... im just wondering what people’s thoughts are.

I guess I really want to know if you guys think its good stuff. You can find the link on my journal if you want. I'd like some feedback! (But don’t want to promote too much on SG)

If I could do it, I would. It depends on how "artsy" you want to make it. There's no reason why nude models should make a shitload of money if it looks good and they enjoy what they're doing.

Edited to say: I thikn what you're doing is a-ok, as long as you're comfortable with it. Check out the song "Piece of Candy" by 58. You'll find it appropriate. smile

No reason it can't be artistically valid and profitable. Take any other creative venue- poetry, music, painting. None of those things lose their validitiy if they make the artist money.

I say go for it. if its your site you won't be doing anything you find objectionable.

I'm still trying to find a way to make an artsy second income out of being nude and male frown

Being naked is horrible, on SG or anywhere else. I simply cannot abide this.

I say why not.

One thing though, you might want to run a spell check over the main page of your site. People would probably feel a lot more comfortable about paying you some money if the site had a touch more professionalism. I mean there is an absolute tonne of free nude pix on the net, more than enough for several lifetimes. If you want me to pay to see yours, at least get the spelling right.

I'm not having a go at you, just trying to offer some constructive critique.

Yes, and for God's sake don't go posting anything on SG with a bunch of bad grammar and poor spelling. They will fry your ass.

this is something i was wondering: how much do SGs get paid? (i'm not really asking for a figure here)...it seems to me they wouldn't get paid so much as to make it the sole reason they do it - i think most of the girls on here really do sets just because they want to - they find it liberating, cool, sexy, risquee, whatever - but mostly i think it gives them the opportunity to be glamorized in a community they feel comfortable with...

anyway, my point is: if you like what you do, you shouldn't have a problem making money from it...

if you have some sort of religious/moral problem with it - like you think you're some kind of "dirty pornographer" - then you might need to reflect on it a little, but, in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with it...

Three words: gay for pay.
I dated two boys who made good money doing nudie photos, solo masturbation videos, and bondage videos. One of them was bi, the other was a vain, hetero attention whore.

On topic, I think that it's fine to make money off of your sexuality ('tasteful' and 'artistic' are subjective), as long as you feel good about it.

Hmmm... I'm fine with all of those. I just need the connections. I'm a vain, hetero attention whore whose almost bi. not to mention hot. its not really something I can find in the classifieds though is it?

Not that I went to your website or anything - I'm not interested in naked girls, obviously - but your 'sign up' and 'members' links don't seem to work.

In all of those other art forms you mention when one becomes wealthy from selling their art they are considered sell outs. Granted it's usually by those who do not make moneyy selling their art.
Another point I'd like to make is that if you do something because you love it or because it makes you feel good, that's awesome, but once you make money doing it it's become a job.

ok, a moment of honesty here, from me.
i am open to dissenting views.

i honestly think that nudity as a first income warps you a little bit, as it puts you in constant contact a certain segment of society at thier pervy droooliest. although, id say the same thing about full time servers. they 'hate people' as much or more than any stripper ive known.

what i like about this site and it's second income nudity is how the nude job pushes fans towards the nude person's other sources of income. im not talking wishlists, although those are nice, im talking about using the site to launch or forward a business. im really impessed by the brains on this site.

Well for me when I go to a strip club I don't go there for a turn on. If she does a good job I think it's very artistic. There is nothing more beautiful then a woman's body and there is nothing more feminine then dancing and it's very beautiful. Even these sets on SG are not a turn on for me also playboy. I view it as art.
