Ironically, they're funded by tobacco company settlements.

I think.

I am pretty sure they are also. But what do they care they make all their money over seas.

But atleast the truth commercials are as bad as the anti-marijuana ads.

If you smoke weed your going to shoot your friend in the face.

Hmm a loaded revolver in your top desk draw when you have kids in your house. Isn't that an ad againt guns?

hahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhaha

No matter how noble their cause, their commercials are rife with logical fallacies. I want to stab their writers in the colon just to show them how full of shit they are.

Example?

One of the worst was the one that went like this.

"There is ammonia in cigarettes."
"Ammonia is an ingredient in dog poop."
"Therefore smoking is bad"

Another was something along the lines of...

"There are 34 chemicals in rat poison."
"cigarettes have over a hundred chemicals"
"Therefore smoking is bad"

And so on. Textbook broken syllogisms. For statements like these, I despise their organization.

Or do you despise them because you smoke, and you are afraid it is going to kill you?

Nope. I've never smoked a cigarette in my life.

I despise them because they abuse logic and the facts to spread their message. Calling themselves "Truth" just makes me hate them more.

They really bridge the gap from advertising to propaganda like nothing else I know of outside of political campaigning. And then there's the fact that in most of the ads they're just one step away from harassing people on the street. I would be very tempted to punch someone following me down the street holding a sign pointing at me saying "low self-esteem".
