I'm so loooow. I'm listening to Johnny Cash and can't really do anything. Oh, agony.
There is a movie about him called 'Walk the Line' I think...supposed to quite good
Have you heard his version of the NIN's song 'Hurt?'
a verse;
What have I become, my sweetest friend
Everyone I know, goes away in the end
And you can have it all, my empire of dirt
I will let you down, I will make you hurt...
I love this song and can listen to it over and over again. But only with Johnny Cash. NIN bores me after a while.
That whole disc is good. Johnny Cash and Rick Rubin picked some really good songs to redo. Very intimate and sad. A lot of his last recordings under the American lable were really amazing.

I recently taught myself this tune on guitar (the Blue thread troubador is back in the house!)
I agree about the song; his version is one of my favorites, and the video he made for it is quite touching as well... I think Johnny was a true rebel, a punk before there was punk so to speak.
I have an album he did that is quite rare, that most people have never heard, the Johnny Cash Children's Album I guarantee it will put a smile on even the saddest of faces... Have you ever heard it?
