This game, when I'm not careful, will whittle the hours away like no one's business.

Anyone else have love for this pill-popping puzzler? Or is there another puzzle game that takes over your life? Tetris, Columns, Lumines, share it w/us.

Plus, I have to beat my chest and exude my Dr. Mario superiority over all of you.

Seriously, I'll take on all comers.

My gf is addicted to the Doctor as well as Tetris Attack from time to time. SHe plays when insomnia hits and then plays for hours. Well after she's finally tired enough to sleep on most occasions biggrin

That's the way to do it. My lady and I will play Tetris 2 a lot, which took a bit for me to get used to, since it's quite different from the original. Now we're about evenly matched.

Found my old Mario Picross right before finals... May have failed a class due to the time it consumes. Oh well

That I never got around to trying, what's the point of the game?

Dr. Mario rules. I don't think I've played it in about a decade, though...

dr mario has run various stages of my life. i was under it's control for years and years and years. i actually just hooked the super nes back up a few weeks ago, and it's been pretty rediculous.

i'd happily take on anyone. i rule this game and there's nobody out there that can hang.

here's a question for everyone. have any of you ever seen the little pills falling when you close your eyes? or ever laid in bed at night and tried to piece together the greatest pill drop of all time. one that would take out as many lines as possible.

i've got some serious problems here.

I haven't had that happen w/Dr. Mario, but I have been sitting on the toilet looking @the wall tiles and started seeing Tetris pieces.

I have a Gameboy emulator on my phone, so I play the original GB Tetris version on there, along with Dr. Mario and a couple of others when I have some downtime, usually when I'm on the toilet. I've mastered beating Tetris B-Type Level 9 High 5 in the space of a one shitting.

Even More Contraptions

Someone posted this game, Even MOre Contraptions series on The Best Video Game Of All Time thread on SG... I tried demo, and it's pretty awesome... it's like a big mouse trap in which you arrange rubber bands, dynamite, and spinning wheels and gears, and other cartoony contraptions to complete each puzzle...

I've been known to play Bust-A-Move for a few hours straight, sometimes blasting Young MC at the same time. I'm easily amused. But Dr. Mario does rule. That was back in the day when almost all video game music kicked ass. I still idly whistle the Dr. Mario music every now and then.

I would have Tetris dreams. That's when I stopped playing and started staying away from all those kinds of games.

A similar thing happened once I started playing Dynasty Warriors for hours a day. I would close my eyes and see tons of guys running at me. ooo aaa

It was time to switch back to MUDs after that.

Nothing ends a shit better than watching little Russian men dancing followed by a Buran taking off.

I have experienced both Tetris and Dr. Mario dreams.

This thread has the first three notes of the Dr. Mario title song stuck in my head...y'know, the ones that would have enough time to play before the game would reset because the cartidge wasn't placed in that +-3mm zone that the original NES allowed when it started getting old.

That's why I bought the new 72-pin connector for MY NES. Works like brand new now.

Sure does. Hell, we won't pick on you if it was Pokemon Puzzle League.

Then again, I play Pokemon, so I can't say anything.

first revisiting mario kart (thru the super nintendo thread), now this?

if nintendo wants to start printing their own money...they should just prep a "mario monster pack" game for their next system launch. faithful reproductions of some of the classic mario games from mario bros. thru dr. mario, mario kart, to whatever the lastestest game was for the game cube.

i too had dreams about falling and spinning pills...
