NEWS: Henson Studios To Make Dark Crystal Sequel, Fraggle Movie

Excellent point.

Although, having recently been on the Henson lot, they are doing far more digital puppetry (it's more like real actual puppetteering than you think it is, it's an insane physical setup), than traditional puppetry lately, and I know that a lot of the people they work with are also actually voice actors who puppeteer and voice characters.
-That being said, who knows if they will get a distributor together for a final deal (I'm pretty sure that's what killed the last couple attempts at features), and if those people will want to fuck with all the casting and story in order to feel good about funding the project.

We'll see what happens I guess...hopefully, they don't get to carried away with the computer. One of the draws of films such as 'Dark Crystal' is the puppetry and roughness of it all, at least for me. Fuck, the first time I saw 'C;ash of the Titans' I thought the effects were awesome, but funny to watch now...still, much appreciated...

Because if Highlander 2 taught us anything it was that it is always a great idea to make a sequel

I though they did a good job with mirrormask using all the technology
like most things it'll probablly come down to how well they integrate with what people have in mind about the fraggles/darkcrystel.
