I was eating out with a friend once, and he offered me his pickle. Since I love pickles, I said sure and took it. As it left his plate I noticed it had been touching the edge of his sandwich, which had mushrooms on it -- so I put it back and scrubbed off the tips of my fingers. I don't think the pickle had even touched an actual mushroom, but it was tainted by association...
