One time in a previous apartment building, I came to get my laundry and I saw someone pulling my clothes out of the dryer with a couple of minutes left on the timer. He said my clothes were dry enough. I think I called him a fucker.
A bloke I knew many years ago just used to throw his clothes away and buy new ones from the charity shops, it helped his 'idiosyncratic' image and probably cost less than the laundrette.
his brother ALWAYS wore a duffel coat and one day murdered their mum.
on reflection he probably bought the clothes first then threw the old ones away.

I am very glad I don't have to use a public laundry room anymore.
There were many times I wanted to remove people's clothes from the dryer when they'd left them for a long time, but I never worked up the courage to do so.
My place has 2 washers and dryers
I've removed someones clothes once. The dryers were done when I started my wash and after 4 hours of waiting, I had no more time left to waste.

The people in my dorm had major OCD. It was kind of funny because you'd return to find your clothes out of the dryer and folded. It was pretty bizarre. Everyone did it.
I remember walking in on a girl folding my clothes at the college laundry room once. Initially I thought it was strange...but really it was helpful to me...and she got to use the dryer earlier than if she had waited for me to come back.
Funny thing though, I actually ruined a wool sweater because I had mistakenly put it in with the rest of the stuff. I was going to just chuck it because it was now tiny. The girl who folded my clothes was still there. I explained that I had ruined the sweater...but it was pretty new...I asked if she wanted it because it would fit her now. She happily took it off my hands.
