pushing and ouiji kind of defeats the purpose i'm guessin

I thought the purpose of the Ouiji was to catch whichever one of your friend's was pushing it. And/or to humiliate your friends by pushing it towards devastatingly cruel (but often funny) answers to questions whose significance has been dramatically blown out of proportion.

What other purpose would there be?

Hey Hey excellent - one of my friends once caught me out on a bonged up ouija session, he sawthe fear in my eyes when it sarted telling us it was E.N.E.M. (I nearly pissed myself) then he added an A. Ha Ha even I laughed!!!

And isn't it pronounced "wee-ja"? I seem to remember a ghastly jingle advertising the game that went, "Hey Ouija, we needja, we wanna ask a wild question." Not seem to remember it, I do remember it. I wish I didn't.

It's pronounced "wee-ya". It's just the French and German words for "yes" smooshed together to create "Ouija".

My girlfriend and I tried one recently. Shockingly, it didn't work. I was really surprised because if ghosts were real, surely Parker Brothers would be the organization to provide the evidence.

yeah dunno someting to do with the concept of being a medium for energy to pass through, so yr gotta kind of touch the thing with yr fingertips, and who knows what purpose the game has, like i said its about open mindedness and not having too many preconceived ideas in order to understand something new and different. bt it could easily be just another stupid game to play whilst getting pissed if thats yr best go of it.

Dude, it's a board game.
