I think almost everyone in the U.S. spent slumber parties in elementary school playing around with them.

Open-minded, I have to ask: if it moves by itself, why put your hands on it?

I thought the purpose of the Ouiji was to catch whichever one of your friend's was pushing it. And/or to humiliate your friends by pushing it towards devastatingly cruel (but often funny) answers to questions whose significance has been dramatically blown out of proportion.

What other purpose would there be?

yeah dunno someting to do with the concept of being a medium for energy to pass through, so yr gotta kind of touch the thing with yr fingertips, and who knows what purpose the game has, like i said its about open mindedness and not having too many preconceived ideas in order to understand something new and different. bt it could easily be just another stupid game to play whilst getting pissed if thats yr best go of it.

In elementary school my "special" friends and I tried to make a Oujii board using a triangular tupperware container as the moving thing you put on the thing. It didn't work so well.

We played it in fifth grade in my friends bunk bed, and I totally was pushing it the whole time. We contacted a cave-girl who died in childbirth. She got mad and threatened to come kill one of my friends in her sleep. Good times.
