Ralph Steadman is certainly one of the last of his kind. One of the radical cartoonists and caricaturist of the 60s who co-created the idea of gonzo along with Hunter S. Thompson who he collaborated with on a number of projects including Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
In the past decade or so Steadman has been indulging his personal passions such as wine with books like The Grapes of Ralph and the creation of the Hunter S Thompson fist print.
Sometimes I wish they'd just change the name: Suicide Girls. But then I realize it's probably for the best that it is misconstrued.
I must concur on the Bush sentiments and much of his other views. I did not read the entire interview, however, as I'm tired. I also can't be bothered.
Ralph Steadman reads like a man that'd be excellently fun conversation.
That's essentially what I look for while reading interveiws, can the subject carry on an interesting conversation (provided the interviewer can, as well)?
Ahhh, lovely Steadman. I was just enjoying his artwork on this most delicious bottle of Snake Dog IPA from Flying Dog Brewery when I came upon this interview...
