In the new issue of Blender hitting newsstands Tuesday, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo reveals he's sticking to his vow of celibacy. The original deadline was six months ago. Cuomo is still celibate.

Meanwhile, Cuomo has one semester left at Harvard.

The Crimson has Cuomo's "2005’s TOP 20-ISH SONGS (Not Including Weezer)."

You can though. According to the man himself, no one wants to.

They've heard the last couple of Weezer albums.

Maybe if he got some of that there sex he'd write a decent song again.

i dont think the schlock that weezer shits out now should be considered music, so lifestyle seems more appropriate.

I hate to say it, but I could have said exactly the same thing about my life. Except I'm not a rock star.

What drives me crazy about Weezer albums is that they're really short -- like 30 minutes long -- but they still have weak tracks.

It reminds me of an old joke I first heard in Annie Hall: "The food here is so bad." "Yes, and such small portions."

my friend in high school was/is an indie rock groupie, she slept with one of weezer, and she's hot.

Interesting choice of words, Rivers. Are we sure he's not just taking after Morrissey?

I think Rivers will stick with celibacy (unless he gets married). It's part of his practice of Vipassana meditation. He's pretty hardcore about it. He even went to India to sit a course with the guru. One of my friends, who meet him at the Vipassana center here in Washington, saw him at the course in India with a camera crew in tow. I'm hoping to meet him at a course sometime.

Some of the songs on Make Believe were inspired by the meditation. I know for sure "Pardon Me" was inspired by him learning Metta-bhavana (loving-kindness meditation). I also think "We Are All On Drugs" is about how everyone is motivated by unconscious addictions, whether it's to food, popularity, music, whatever. Vipassana helps you realize this and get rid of such addictions.

Unfortunately, I think all of this inner peace Rivers is getting (and I'm happy for him for it) means the end of any really kick-ass Weezer music . I fear Weezer has "jumped the shark."

i'd sleep with him if pinkerton was their new stuff, and if he wern't so god damn self-rightous. i mean he's hot, i have that geek fetish, but c'mon, i can find an equally sexy geek on this here in-tro-web.
