Why was this thread moved from Everything SG to Lifestyle?
EVERYTHING SG
The place to talk, ask questions, and make suggestions about SG and everything related to it: the site, the merch, the live shows, and more! Announcements made here.
Well, whatever. I suppose the question was answered, so no harm no foul. What a confusing community.
Because this topic has nothing to do with the official aspects of SG, like the site, the merch, the live shows, or anything else SG offers to its members. This is a personal opinion poll, which belongs in Lifestyle.

If you did a search for the term 'anal sex' or 'shaved junk' on the boards, and picked two topics to look at, you might think that we all hate it because so many people responded 'ugh, this again?' or 'why does this topic keep getting brought up?' But that's not really the case.
Two threads do not Suicide Girls community camgirl hatred make.
You're right of course, about two threads not reflecting the whole of the community, but I just chose two threads as EXAMPLES, not the end-all-be-all of the SG community. I then asked my question (this thread) to clarify. I'm unsure why people arn't getting that.
But you know, there is definatly some cattiness and elitism going on in those threads I used as examples. Here's one example of something I found to be a bit on the elitist side:

Hmmm... she'll get naked and model in plastic wrap, but she won't model for our lovely SG community? Odd.
Oh, and Clara, good call -- I thought that SG community stuff would fit better in "Everything SG", I didn't know it was all about the official stuff. Thanks for moving the thread to it's proper home, in that case.

Because of the way you phrased the question. You didn't ask what the community thinks. You asked why they think something that the evidence seems to indicate that they don't. Biased quesions will always result in bad data and hostile respondents.

True enough. You're absolutly right.
I tried to clarify as much as possible later on in the thread, but first impressions always stick.
After re-looking at those example threads today, it doesn't seem that the -community- has something against camgirls. It seems like a few girls had judgements to pass. And that's fine. I was just looking for "why".
In conclusion, I think I got as much "why" as I'm going to get, really.

i was going to say they do not, but i think you discovered that for yourself.
i am not one for going into long drawn out explanations. so that was all, thank you.

What is elitist about that, exactly? I honestly didn't understand her not wanting to pose nude for our site as a model considering she was doing the very same thing on another site.

I've got a feeling that if I were blunt honest with you as to how the comment was an elitist one, I'd probably get kicked off this site. So I'm going to hold my tounge, publically. I'm not any other way except blunt, so I can't put it into any other terms that would convey the same message. So publically, I'll just say that you either "get" how that comment is elitist, or you "don't get" how that comment is elitist.
If you're honestly curious, shoot me an e-mail through my profile.
And to kinda clear the air -- blunt honesty does not mean nastiness, in my case. I've got nothing against anyone here.
But as the site FAQ states, there isn't free speech on this site, so I feel uncomfortable going into this particular aspect of the thread publically, as I don't know the unwritten rules for what you can or cannot say.
EDIT: to fix a stupid spelling error. I'm such a dumbass.
EDIT 2: For anyone curious or following this thread, she never e-mailed. Figures.

The reason I never e-mailed you is a.) because I just now saw your response and b.) if you have something to say to me, you can say it right here, or you can e-mail me through my profile. I really don't care enough to e-mail you about a three year old comment I made, which I've already clarified the meaning of. I'm certainly not going to get you kicked off the site for being honest with me, and despite what you may think, the staff doesn't go around kicking people off the site for disagreeing with us. Unless you were planning on calling me a lying whore or something, then yeah, there might be a problem.
Edited to say that you might be a problem with staff, not me, as I could care less if you think I'm a lying whore. I mean, the whore part is probably true, as I am naked on the internet just like those flithy camgirls I hate so much.
