What ticks you off about a person you like?

I'm talking personal experiences, what little things or big things set you off or turn you off from a person you're attracted to (not so much one night stand stuff, more on the end of you'd like to date this person and be closer to a commitment of some kind). Me...

1) (it happened this weekend) I hate it when a girl pulls a U-turn, and not the driving kind. Everyone has a right to change their mind, but the people who are involved in that change have a right to be pissed at you for it as well. It's happened to me a few times; talk and get aquainted with a girl, she is then the one who says; "lets go out", "I like you", "lets eat bananas in a tree together" etc etc. then, before any of that stuff happens, she just changes her mind. Doesn't really say it, just sorta ignores you and does the; "i was just kidding" stab that makes you feel fantastic about how you wasted your time and money on those bananas you bought.

2) finding out they're Irish

Racism, Republicanism, ditziness, dislike of reading

transparent manipulation: being so extra nice and attentive and sweet so you rearrange your life for a week as a favour for them only to find out it was so they could sneak off for a DIRTY WEEKEND WITH HIMMM!!!!

When they tell me they "like" me, but don't want a "girlfriend". Happens to me all the time!

They turn out to be sexist/racist.

They have never read a book.

They know nothing of current events or politics.

They're condescending or patronising in any way.

They mention that they repeatedly committed statutory rape with a fourteen year-old girl when they were eighteen or nineteen and upon registering my profound disgust, they seem surprised and say, "Well, my mates did it too and they were in their late twenties. When in Rome..."

i have a friend who is an attorney in one of the most prestigious law firms in the U.S. and she constantly uses the word "Alas" incorrectly. She'll be like,

"Well lets meet up for drinks later, alas I'm going to have dinner now with my friend." Like she just uses it as a general term of transition, and it drives me up a fucking wall.

When they don't like me back. That's normally a big turn off.

That damn Restraining Order.

Uh, yeah. The u-turn thing. Its obvious they like me. We are headed toward a date or what ever. And then they hit the brakes.

This girl has been doing it for a couple years. Its not that I am waiting for her specifically either. This town is full of dirty whores. I want someone better than that. Like this girl.

Smoking. Apparently not enough, though.

really bad musical tastes.

a lack of logic in very obvious situations.

a girl who does drugs.

a girl who smokes ALL THE TIME is unattractive.

girls who don't dance.

conservatives/republicans.

someone who will always look for the shit I do wrong, not tell me about it, then bring it up later when it is a big ball of angst.

That happens alot to me, too.

People who:

1) "Hear" but don't "listen".
2) Can't understand the difference between the two.

Your taste in musc doesn't have to be mine, but if you listen to top 40 pop, or shitty pop-punk bands one of us is going to kill the other. It's just a matter of time.

She turns out to be superficial. Or she turns out to be a nazi.

LOL, the "u" acronym ... drives me insane. I know text messaging is tedious and time consuming, but I will always take the time to write; "where are you?" etc instead of "wru?"

... that's actually my #2 I think. I find it so unattractive when a women is afraid to say something, do something or has no input at all towards anything. It shows they have no individuality, they fear something to not be afraid of, and they have quite a bit of apathy it seems.

her: "I don't care"

I have a really nice attractive co worker, piercings, tattoos, everything.

I cried when i found out she drove a pickup trick, one of her non visible tattoos was a confederate flag, and her favorite comedian was larry the cable guy,
