So a few days ago I vomited all over my laptop/school bag after a fun night of drinking. I cleaned it up, and soaked my bag in Febreze, but the smell is still there even after a few days.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the vomit smell from my bag?

Buy a new bag.

Agreed. No laptop bag is so cool as to be worth braving the lingering scent of vomit.

Try actually washing it or taking it to the cleaners instead of just spraying it with deoderizing spray.

Just vomit on your girlfriend next time instead.

I really, really hate Febreze for making people think they don't have to WASH things anymore.

Take a dump in it. It won't smell like vomit any more.

Sort of like cologne or perfume as a replacement for showers and soap.

I did wash it first, that went along with the "cleaning it up" phase I mentioned. The Febreze was afterwards.

Thanks for all of the constructive comments; I suppose I'll take MisterSatan's advice, although I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that.

My apologies. I took "cleaned it up" to mean "wiped the puke off".

Check out Enzyme-D.

I use it to clean up all kinds of stuff including milk, cat and dog urine and afterwards there's no trace what-so-ever... I'm sure it'll get out your alcohol puke smell.

Only bad thing is that you have to let it soak for 6+ hours. You also have to cover up the area being treated with a thick towel and then set something heavy on it... to keep the Enzyme-D from evaporating during its soak.

But it works.

Vomit is mostly made up of proteins and such. Try dishsoap. It works on getting cat puke out of rugs. (Trust me.)

just make sure you don't shave before you soak your bag in febreze. it's like swimming in the dead sea.

That's okay. An old roommate used to throw a shirt in the dryer for a few minutes when he wanted it to smell nice. I tried to explain that "warm" does not equal "clean".

My boyfriend thought it did when we first started dating...but only if you threw 2 dryer sheets in there.

I'm so glad he found me.
