I'm pretty pissed that they want $10 for Conan's 10th Anniversary Show, and the Best of Triumph goes for $10 as well even though it's only like 15 minutes long! This shit should be $2! fucking oinks. I don;t thing it's Apple, it's greed NBC/Universal.

(I wonder if Walker: Texas Ranger is available?=^)

Bleh!

iTunes blows. Little piece of shit... Just have a look at my current journal entry if you'd like to know why. Damn thing's dangerous.

Edited to make clear that the iTunes, and not the reader, is the little piece of shit. smile

Interesting to see if TV episode buying takes off. I could envisage a time when avid fans pre-order episodes and effectively finance the making of new series...

Thinking even further, dipping my mind into the corrupting wells of the internet, I'm thinking that the best high demand "entertainment" industry that could take advantage would be the porn industry, but I can't see Apple distributing.

I went to Disneyland as a kid, and the KITT car was on the grounds, and open to park patrons. I was so excited to see the car in person that once inside I said "this is so fucking cool" - or something to that effect. And the car reprimanded me for using foul language. After that night, I was no longer a fan of the show.

Hey man, I'm not faux emo/hipster and I'm not feigning excitement! Sometimes you live in a foreign country and Knight Rider and The A-Team dubbed in Portuguese are the only things you've got that remind you of home and don't star Rick Springfield, and hey, it kind of grows on you... hypnotically.... and you don't know why.......

Cool - They have the the Dragnet LSD episode!

Marijuana is the match, heroin is the fuse, acid is the bomb.

Is that the one with Blue Boy?

I could actually see myself wanting to watch Dragnet. It's rather surreal. Jack Webb makes it even more unintentionally funny as he makes it intentionally funny (usually by playing the too-straight man to his jokester sidekick). The drug speeches and his dealings with longhairs remain fucking hilarious.

What point is there in the B&W or radio eps? The color episodes are the best, because they feature Jack Webb being dragged through the late sixties/early seventies. Without ever moving his arms as he walked (he hated wrinkling his jacket).

You get the feeling he was actually portraying himself in the uptight and out-of-touch Joe Friday. And everyone else, be they groovy hipster or high-strung housewife was a complete idiot that he needed to educate.

Probably the show that came closest to its hilarious in its hippy depictions was Bewitched. Always a better Bewitched when the kid sister (or was that a cousin) who was also played by Liz Montgomery was hanging with her hippy friends.

Of course, I'd give blood if we could have seen the spastic Darren played by Dick Sargent playing against the hippie horde. The snide Dick York Darren really didn't match up.
