But you couldn't have it unless you completely abandoned the life you live now. You couldn't pay off college loans, debts, taxes or drug dealers. You would have to move someplace else and start over.

Would you?

$800,000, while it is a nice amount of money and a hell of a lot more than I have now, it's not all that much in the grand scheme of things. And CERTAINLY not enough to make me consider abandoning my life. I might think about it for a second or two more if it was $800million...but even then, I wouldn't leave my friends and family and what I have worked for. So...no. Not for any amount of money.

Probably not - I've got a lot of good friends I love dearly. Now if I could find a way to cheat the system... so they all got 800,000 too, and we could all move to the same new spot and meet again... I'd do it!

Your debts are going to follow you. I'm thinking that starting over completely, new identity and such, is going to be a very expensive process.
So no. Unless you up the dollar amount considerably.

Oh, and breaking off family ties would also be a deal breaker.

Well...that depends. Would abandoning my life mean that I also lost all claim to my education and such. Even though I would technically have a college and law school education, would I be able to say so? Or would my degrees lose meaning by reason of, having abandoned everything including my owed loans, I would have no way to prove that I went and obtained such education? I would not want to just live a life of leisure and would want to work. So, since I have found an occupation that I love and want to do, I would have to go through all that education again in order to acheive my current status. And having already been through it and paid for it, why would I want to do it again? And if I did, there's a big chunk of my money gone - probably about a quarter of it, in exchange for an income that is closer to $35K per year - not exactly a quick rate of return, especially given the additional 7 years of education I would need to go through.

The only thing I'd want the money for is to pay off college loans. Not worth it.

Not really. All you need is a death certificate of a person with a similair birthday from public records. With that you can get a birth certificate...then you can get anything else.

You seem quite informed about the matter of faking your own death.

Yes.

Quite informed.

If there's one person I wouldn't put it past. It's Suge Knight. But if there were TWO people I wouldn't put it past it would be Suge Knight and Bill Clinton. But if there were THREE people I wouldn't put it past....you get the idea.
