I read a great pop-psychology book recently called 'Feel the fear and do it anyway'. It's full of a lot of clichés, but also a lot of wisdom. You might find it helpful.
Just picking a couple of pearls from its pages; there's no such thing as a bad decision - every decision simply leads to a different path with different good points and bad. Also, when you're at work, do you give it 100% commitment? I know I don't most of the time, but I always feel better when I do. If you're not doing so consistently then sure, something is wrong.
Happiness is a great goal, but it's not a concept we can easily focus on. It's not a tangible thing you can win, more a status you reach when all your anxieties are overcome. Good luck with your choices

Hey everyone, thanx so much for your advice. It's much appreciated, and helping me a lot.
A month on and the job situation's not any better (I'm still there and still hating it) but at least I'm now looking for a way out. New Year, New Start and all that?
I would say that happiness is the best thing, but only if you don't have a family to support, I have a job that sucks, I am damn good at it, but I hate going to it, but I do it because I have a family to take care of, but I am trying to make things happen to I can move on to happiness and that is what you can do, find out what makes you happy and work towards being able to do that for your job, if you can spend some time doing that it will help with how much you dread your real job.
