I throw boxes at UPS. My special job is picking up the really heavy ones. I also play a lot of Ultimate Frissbee over the summer, that keeps me just fit enough to loose the gut I gain over winter.
I do everything I can to offset the sedentary student lifestyle. I go to spin classes three days a week at six in the morning, because if I beat up my body enough, I'm able to sit through lecture after lecture without knawing off a foot. Everything else... I just like to do things. I surf, ski, rollerskate, hike, climb mountains, and ride horses.
I try not to eat crap, but Tim Hortons is important on early surf mornings.
I've read their philosophy and I've been checking their "Workout of the Day" for the past week, it's very challenging and I like the emphasis on avoiding routine. After "workout routines" for most of my life, anything that avoids routine really appeals to me.
My knees are starting to wear out, so I've started mixing more cycling with my running. And although I don't live near a beach anymore, I'm thinking about hopping in the local river and paddling upstream on my surfboard for a good cardio workout that doesn't pound my knees and gives my upper body a good workout.
I miss surfing.
A sweet combination of forgetting to eat, walking all over the place, mosh pits...
and occasional ACTUAL exercise in the form of 3 x 15 leg raises, 3 x 15 sit-ups, 3 x 10 push-ups, 3 x 10 crunches, 3/4 times per week. Or at least that's the theory.
I bounce on my bed while holding stuffed animals and listening to techno. I eat ice cream for dinner now and again. I dance around like a fool every chance I get. I walk to school whenever it's nice enough to forgo the bus, I don't really drink very much. I love going rollerskating and ice skating. And dance classes, of course...
Now, if I could lay off the pasta, I would be all set...
