Missy and Bee were talking about the pros and cons of lace underwear on SG radio and it got me thinking, I've always had an unreasoning dislike for animal print clothing especially animal print underwear. Something about it seems trashy to me. I'm not sure what exactly but I think it might be loosely connected to my impression of the mother from Married with Children. Anyone have some thoughts on animal print clothing? Why you like it, why you don't?

It depends on what it is exactly...and who is wearing it...and how 'animal-y' it is.

You know you do have a point, trashy can be good. I guess its just not the right type of trashy for my tastes or something. But your right some of exactly what turns me off about it may be what turns others on

I always thought of animal print clothing as hideous and trashy too...that kind of 50 year old woman in a sheer leopard print top kind of thing.
In the last year or so I've suddenly started finding it really attractive...though there's a big fat line between good animal print and hideous animal print.

For example, I'd say...

BAD animal print

I once dated a girl who wore a thong made from the pelts of dead rabbits. They even had ears...

I love leopard print, especially lingerie. I would not wear it in large quantities but there are a few people who can pull that off. It kind of depends on the person wearing it and the exact item. But in general, I like it a lot. One of my bathrooms has a leopard print sheer shower curtain.

I don't like animal print, and I would never wear it.

However, I have seen leopard print look good under certain circumstances (i wouldn't say that masuimi dress is one of them).

Meh, it was the best example I could find. IT's not my particular preference either, but it's the closest I could get without trailing the net forever.

I love animal print. I don't think it makes me look classy or trashy - I just freakin like it. I have zebra print purses, leopard print skirts, some various other pieces of clothing. I think it's fun.

I worked in a mall department store (Lazarus) for three years and learned to hate animal prints. I have seen every animal print-fashion faux pas known to man.

My favorite customer was a little old lady who came in every friday wearing the same thing...A zebra print moo moo with matching handbag, hat and shoes. She thought she was soooo stylin'
Yech.

It can be OK. Depends what kiund of animal print and the style of the item(s) of clothing.
Lingerie is ok most of the time, actual clothes I'm not so sure about. I own two sets of leopard print lingerie, I used to dislike it before I saw the style I've got.

Muu muu(n) : A tent trying to be an article of clothing; an excellent thrift store source of large quantities of fabric, if one doesn't mind flower prints.

I like animal print just fine, but Masuimi Max could be wearing your filthy old dishrags and they'd look sexy.

I heartily concur...
I've always wanted Leopard print bedsheets just for the sheer "cheese" factor... that and silk monogrammed pyjamas....
