this film fucking ruled. except for elvis. i was disappointed there. phoenix and witherspoon both deserve oscar nominations, for sure. it is the first movie in a really really fucking long time that has not only met, but risen above my expectations.

I really liked it, too. I agree with wendy's asessment of of the elvis character though. I also wish they would have kept going with the story into the his last years, But then again I woundn't have cared if the movie went an hour longer.
I quite enjoyed this movie, though I regret not seeing Joaquin on The Late Show with Conan O'Brien. Apparently, Joaquin was telling a story about how he had met Johnny Cash and how he liked Joaquin in Gladiator. Maybe my cousin still has a copy on his computer's recording program...
