Shopping in the USSR was hard work in days gone bye. Queues were long and the goods were in short supply. But it is different today, the Russian streets are busy and they have plenty of choice.
The people doing the queuing now are our department stores, wanting to take a slice of the Russian market. According to the Moscow Tribune, Marks and Spencer, the British clothing store, is looking to open a store in Moscow.
So, you know where to look if you are looking for some Bridget Jones style knickers.
