Where can I get a good one? I want something mildly unique, but all I mean by that is that I don't want something that I could pick up in the checkout aisle of American Eagle.

Go to a local market. Handmade folkcrafts are always better than factorymade crap. They are also imbued with a tad more soul.

You could make your own. Chainmaille isn't that hard to start up on, and simple bead necklaces are pretty easy. Alternately, you can go to your local thrift shop and start picking up bits and pieces that look pretty then mix and match.
