As a former rugby player, I agree that football players are either pansy-ass prima donnas or fat fucks who couldn't run if thier life depended on it. Nice pads pussies.

This is the most laughable thing I've heard all day. 300+ pound Offensive linemen can run a 40 in 4.6. These guys are freaks of nature. Sure they're probably all on monkey sperm or HGH or whatever, but while they do tend to be prima donnas, calling them pansy asses and "fat fucks who can't run." is just factually incorrect.

I agree. If we had those guys playing for the Eagles, the US might start winning some World Cups again. I've played football (OK, not in the NFL) and I still play rugby. Football and rugby are different. The speeds reached by ball carriers and tacklers can be equal, but the tackling techniques are very different. A helmet and shoulder pads aren't just protection, they are weapons, if used properly.
That said, I've slowly and steadily lost interest in football since I started playing rugby. It takes 3 hours to watch a 1 hour game. An 80 minute game of rugby is over in 90 minutes, tops. Rugby demands more muscular stamina and cardio vascular fitness because there are no breaks between plays, no time outs, no breaks at quarters; rugby play is continuous with the exception of injuries and breaks for set pieces (scrums and lineouts).
And the rock star egos in the NFL isn't very appealing either. Although there are certainly some egos in Rugby Union (I don't much like League.)
I watched on football game last year: UT won the Rose Bowl.
I understand why some people enjoy football, but I can't stand all the fucking little flags people put on their cars like they are a citizen of Chiefsville or something. People talk about "The Game" all freakin day! "We really kicked their ass yesterday, huh Bob." or "Those guys really looked like shit. If I were coach I would have blah blah blah blah." It's also really fucked that commentators talk about certain players as if they are some Roman god that dawns their armor every Sunday and walks into a warzone to save humanity. Ok I'm done now.
I only like to watch team sports in person. Most individual sports I only like to participate in, watching them is not much fun. I am more of a baseball fan than a football fan, but I wil go watch the university play from time to time. Too bad our baseball team is so badly run.
I can't really watch anything on TV, our TV has not been connected to the outside world in many years.

NFL is weak all that padding take it off blokes and play a real mans game Rugby no pads full contact.

I want to see them play without all that pussy safety gear. Why can't they? Rugby is just as high-contact and they don't need anything more than a padded head guard and a mouth guard.
Yeah...and when those pussies who play cricket have to have the bowler bounce the ball before it gets to them? What's up with that...in baseball they take a full-on 99 mile per hour fastball.
Different sports...different rules...different equipment.
Hey cricket bores the shit out of me to...but it was never meant to be a high-intensity sport. My main gripe about NFL is that I'm there was a time where all this body armour wasn't used and so I tend to denounce the fat that it is needed now. I ain't putting down the game, just saying they could be a bit tougher and play without the gear. I've played American Football at highschool, we had a seppo exchange student who taught us the game and we loved it. I know it's a fast brutal game, I had the bruises and ripped uniforms to show for it.
