Did any one go to college thinking they would meet cool like minded people, but instead realize people are retarded. I think the whole college idea of learning new stuff, classical studies, expanding your mind, and the real Athenian look on things is gone and has been replaced with drunks and cooperate whores thatjust want your money. Or it's just me
MAKES ME SAD: Stupid people, morons, ignorant people that think their opinions matter, judgemntal people...
FAVORITE BANDS: ...people that say they are into everything need to be dragged out in the street and shot
VICES: Smoking, fighting, swearing, being hot tempered, fucking with girls heads, causing chaos, and bullying/picking on people
I don't mean to make you sad by being judgemental, but where do you get off calling people retarded? Or drunks?
MAKES ME HAPPY: Getting wasted with my friends
If I were at your college, and adopted the same shitty attitude that you have here, I would probably think you were pretty retarded and in no way contributing to some "Athenian" golden age of philosophy. But when I went to school, I chose a different attitude, and I probably would have just seen you as a fellow student with different interests and style from mine.
Most of the people I met at university were reasonably good people who tried to do the best with what they had. They failed plenty, but so did I, and that's life. I bet it was that way in Athens, too.

Nope...I went to college to earn a degree to get a better job. Maybe you went to a crap college...or maybe you were interested in doing other things...but I had a very well-rounded and full college experience. I had fun, I partied, I met people, had lots of sex...but I also did fairly well academically, took some great classes and expanded my mind with classes I wouldn't have normally taken if the college hadn't made me. IN fact...the best class I took in my entire college career was a class in Jewish studies. I'm not even a religious person...let alone Jewish. I took it because my college required a "Non-Western elective".

Dude! Chill! Are you fucking crazy? That guy'll totally kick your ass!
Um, people at my school were interested in learning. That doesn't mean they didn't get drunk and party like rock stars, they just didn't really sleep enough to make time for all of it.

Hey, didn't you kick my ass in highschool for being "ska?"
Let's be honest though...the ska kids needed a good beating.
I keed, I keed.
True. But I was PUNK RAWK, man! Ska was the big thing, so I got grouped in with them...and I hung out with mostly all ska kids...so I guess I was one by association, and...

Nevermind.
anybody else have a bunch of tshirts they can't wear anymore because of that?
Huh... When I was in college, I met a lot of cool, like-minded people who were really interested in learning, and we all studied with some really brilliant and interesting professors.
